One of my most favorite things about the weddings I shoot is how couples always find ways to really make the celebration include fun and important parts of who they are. These two hard-core soccer club fans live and breathe the Portland green and gold so it’s only fitting that they decided to hold a ceremony right there in the middle of their beloved Timbers Army section of the Portland Timbers stadium during a home game.
It was about as “Portland” a day as you could get. From the gay pride flags filling the stadium to the endless singing and chanting to the confetti and smoke bombs for goals right down to the weather drastically lurching between scorching mid-day sun and rain showers. It was a perfectly punk rock, rebel, do it the way we want, old-school Portland kind of wedding celebration and was perfectly them.
